After speaking to a number of dog owners about the effectiveness of Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements, I decided to give the supplement to my 14 year old terrier mix. The individuals I spoke to indicated they found that it took perhaps 4l weeks before they started to see an improvement. I found numerous sources of pills. Many seemed like they were simply repackaged human pills and I found those hard to administer to my dog. I did notice an improvement in my pet's mobility.

One of my dogs vets prescribed Dasuquin for him. My dog is around 40lbs and he takes one pill a day. The pills are chewable and he simply takes it from my fingertips. If your dog is aging or having joint problems, I recommend a visit to your vet. If a Glucosamine Chondroitin supplement is recommend, from personal experience, I highly recommend Dasuquin. The dogs will be eager to eat the beef/cheese flavored pills and glucosamine chondroitin supplement does seem to have a positive effect on their mobility.
